Have You Heard of the Life Cycle of A Butterfly?

One hot spring day, a small butterfly laid 20,000 eggs in the petal of a dandelion. It looks very small and round. After a week, it hatched into small caterpillars. Caterpillars munch piles of leaves. They crawl like a snail. The caterpillars grew huge. Next, they spun a case around them. Lastly, they turn into a chrysalis. Then they go to sleep.

Inside the chrysalis, the caterpillar is changing. First the wings are growing. Next the mouth disappears and turns into a proboscis. It is a long tongue like a straw. The antennae and legs are growing as well.

First the butterfly comes slowly out from the case. Their wings look soggy and crumpled. Next the butterfly opens its wings for blood to make them strong. Finally the butterfly is ready to fly and to lay more eggs to make more caterpillars.
